Michele Petersmark, LCPC

Michele Petersmark is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who received her MA degree from Roosevelt University.  Michele specializes in depression, mood disorders, life transitions, child and adolescent issues, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, self-injury, women issues and grief and loss.

 

Michele has experience working with individuals between the ages of 5 and 60 years old.  She believes that through the therapeutic alliance, individuals can learn to take responsibility for their own life changes and have more control over their future.

 

Her approach is friendly but direct.  Michele utilizes an eclectic variety of treatment modalities, which include Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Modification and Play Therapy with children.  Michele focuses on every person’s individual needs.  Her approach to the therapy relationship is collaborative in that she acknowledges and embraces the unique skills and strengths each person brings to the therapeutic process.
