Setting up your first appointment at Genesis is quick and easy.  Call us at (630) 653-6441, Ex 204 and leave your contact information if our Intake Coordinator does not answer directly. She will call you back and ask some simple questions and schedule your appointment within 24 hours.

In most cases you do not need a referral to set up an appointment at Genesis.  However, if your insurance plan requires this, make sure that you call your insurance company before you set up your first appointment.

BILLING: Lynn, our Billing Coordinator can help you with questions or concerns you may have about your bill. Lynn will be happy to assist you with the clarification of a statement, setting up a payment plan or any other billing inquires. INSURANCE: In the ever-changing world of insurance, Linda our Insurance Coordinator can help answer your questions. She works with our providers to assure that your authorizations are up to date and your insurance claims are being filed correctly. FRONT OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF: Our friendly and professional front office staff is available to answer any front offices concerns; coordinate inquires with your provider and schedule/reschedule your appointment. You may also send general emails to our front office staff by clicking here

(Please Note: In accordance with HIPAA laws, Genesis is required to have each patient (*over the age of 12) sign an informed consent form permitting the administrative staff speak to anyone other than the patient for non-clinical inquires (example: billing, insurance, scheduling, and medication request).

The front desk may be reached by pressing 0 anytime during outgoing auto attendant message. *Note: To respect the privacy of each patient, during heavier business periods (on the ½ hour), you may be required to leave a message on our secure voicemail. Our staff will attend to all messages promptly. *

APPOINTMENTS: If you are unable to keep your appointment we ask that you call our office within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. This will allow another patient to be seen by the doctor/therapist. Failure to contact our office may result in a fee ($75 for a 30 minute or $125 for a 45-60 minute session) applied to your account for missed appointments or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance.

We do offer courtesy confirmation calls and texts*, however it is the responsibility of each patient to arrive on the correct date and time of their appointment.

Messages may be left via email or on our internal secure voice mail system weekends and after business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday by dialing 630 653-6441 x0.

*To sign-up for text message appointment reminders: Contact to our Front Office Staff. (If you recieve a text message and can not make your scheduled apppointment: to cancel, patients must call the office directly.)

PRESCRIPTIONS: Many Pharmacies will automatically fax refill request. Due to periodic changes in medications, please alert your pharmacy that our office does not take FAX refill requests. To initiate a refill for your current medication, patients or pharmacies are required to call our prescription refill line directly at 630 653-6441 extension 501 and follow the verbal prompts.

Please allow 48 hours for refills. There may be a $10 charge associated with the renewal or mailing of prescriptions between face to face appointments.

Due to an increase in postage along with expenses related to fulfillment, beginning July 1, 2019 Genesis Clinical Services will implement a $5.00 shipping and handling charge for patients who request mailing of any prescriptions.

METHODS OF PAYMENT: We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, Discover and Master Card. Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. There is a $40 fee for all returned checks.

PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS: With the current changes in insurance policies, please note that your insurance may require a pre-authorization for medication. This process can be very time consuming. If you are experiencing a problem with your prescription and it requires a prior authorization, please have your pharmacy fax the denial request directly to our office (630) 653-8409 to start the PA process to avoid lapse in medication.

INSURANCE: Currently we are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO and Medicare. (Effective 10/1/2017 GCS will accept Aetna as an in network insurance.) For those with high deductible plans, we do offer an affordable self pay-rate for out of network patients. We also provide our clients with a "super-bill" which allows easy submission to insurance companies for reimbursement.

Patients are responsible for co-payments, deductibles and any amount not covered by your insurance company at time of service.

Patients are responsible for providing GCS with full and correct insurance information at time of service. Any change to your insurance must be immediately communicated to ensure successful submission of claims in a timely manner. Policy benefits vary greatly within all networks. Patients are responsible to become familiar with their plan and its parameters. If authorizations are required, and the patient has not arranged for them, notified the provider, the services may not be covered and the entire fee may be required from the patient. Call your insurance company before beginning a treatment plan with a new provider.

*MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT – OUTPATIENT: Any minor 12 years of age or older may request and receive counseling services or psychotherapy on an outpatient basis without the consent of the minor’s parent or guardian. Outpatient counseling or psychotherapy provided to a minor under the age of 17 shall be limited to not more than 5 sessions, a session lasting not more than 45 minutes, until the consent of the minor’s parent or guardian is obtained. The minor’s parents shall not be informed without the consent of the minor unless the facility director believes such disclosure is necessary. The minor’s parent or guardian is not liable for the costs of the outpatient counseling or psychotherapy. 405 ILCS 5/3-501
